Arrow is a television series, and a modern retelling of the DC Comics series Green Arrow.

SynopsisEdit

Oliver Queen was a playboy millionaire who ended up in a lot of social trouble and cheated on his girlfriend Laurel with her sister Sara. In 2007 Oliver was shipwrecked on an island called Lian Yu when both Sara and Oliver's father Robert were killed. 5 years later, Oliver was found by Chinese fishermen and taken back to Starling City to his mother Moira, sister Thea and best friend Tommy Merlyn, but has returned with a mission to save Starling City from the people destroying it which are on a list passed down from his father before his death in a persona called "The Hood".

After his failure to stop Malcolm Merlyn from destroying the Glades and the consequent death of his best friend Tommy Merlyn, Oliver abandons his hood out of guilt. However, Oliver is forced to return to save both his family's company and his family, as Starling City has fallen into further ruin since the Undertaking. With allies: John Diggle and Felicity Smoak, Oliver will fight to honor his best friend, as The Arrow, all the while on the run from his former ally: Laurel Lance.

In the aftermath of his victory, Season Three opens with The Arrow now a hero to the citizens of Starling. Crime is down, people feel safer, and Captain Lance even calls off the Anti-Vigilante Task Force. Basking in his success, Oliver believes he can finally have a private life and asks Felicity out on a date. But the second Oliver takes his eye off the ball, a deadly villain reappears in Starling, forcing Oliver to realize that he can never be Oliver Queen – not as long as the city needs The Arrow.[1]

After defeating his most formidable foe to date and riding off into the sunset with longtime flame Felicity Smoak, Oliver Queen (a.k.a. The Arrow) left Starling City with the hopes of beginning a new life. But will Oliver ever truly be able to leave behind his past as the Arrow, and, if so, what becomes of the team he has worked so hard to assemble? Will Diggle, Thea, and Laurel be left to continue Oliver’s crusade without him? And with Malcolm Merlyn having ascended to the top of the League of Assassins as the new Ra's al Ghul, is anyone really safe?[2]

After a violent shipwreck, billionaire playboy Oliver Queen was missing and presumed dead for five years before being discovered alive on a remote island in the North China Sea. He returned home to Star City, bent on righting the wrongs done by his family and fighting injustice. As the Green Arrow, he protects his city with the help of former soldier John Diggle, computer-science expert Felicity Smoak, his vigilante-trained sister Thea Queen, former police captain Quentin Lance, and brilliant inventor Curtis Holt. But sinister players with a connection to Oliver's past will push the team to its breaking point, threatening everything Oliver's worked for and his legacy as the Green Arrow.[3]

Newly appointed Mayor Oliver Queen finds himself challenged as he fights on two fronts for the future of Star City. With Diggle back in the military and Thea adamant about hanging up her hood as Speedy, Team Green Arrow is down to just Oliver and Felicity – but they’re no longer the only vigilantes in town. Green Arrow’s public defeat of Damien Darhk at the end of Season Four has inspired a new crop of masked heroes to step up and defend the city, though their painful inexperience makes them obstacles, rather than allies, in the field. The arrival of a deadly new adversary will force Oliver to confront questions about his own legacy, both as mayor and as the Green Arrow.
